of the 380th BOMB GROUP, 529th BOMBER SQUADRON, 5th Air Force.
Jacket measures 23 inches pit to pit, could fit a size 44, even though tag reads a 42.

This B-24, that was limping home after a bombing run, but was ditched at sea due to excessive flak damage and a fire. Tail gunner and waist gunner were unable to get out of the damaged aircraft, and drowned. All others were rescued. Jacket is a size 46
